On lovely summer days it’s easy to forget that that SF weather is often wet and cold, especially for people who are outdoors all day.  Giving socks is easy and shows you care about your fellow human beings.

Dear Sock Diva,

My girlfriend keeps making fun of me for putting my socks on before my pants.

What do I do??!?

~~~
Dear TIP,
You are clearly a fabulous boyfriend who is under-appreciated. The most energy efficient and ergonomically correct method of dressing is socks first then pants.  The socks act as a “pant lube” if you will while ensuring that your socks are in their correct upright position and not pooling around your ankles.  If she doesn’t see the light, the Sock Diva will introduce you to a couple of her bff’s.
Antoni Tàpies, a very famous Catalonian artist was entrusted by the director of the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum  with the creation of a sculpture to decorate the Museum’s main hall, and Tapies proposed a dirty and used 12 meter high sock. For several weeks everybody talked about this Super Sock in Barcelona. Finally the work was not approved. This is the most famous non-existant work of art of all time, I think.
